THE ECONOMIC LIFE OF THE COMMON MAN

Renowned economic expert and columnist Dr P S Vohra's new book, 'Arthik Safarnama,' was officially launched along with an Expert Opinion session held at Hotel Clarks Amer in Jaipur on Sunday.

Jagdeesh Chandra, AJ Philip, a renowned journalist from Indian Express, HT and The Tribune; Deepak Agarwal, MD of Bikaji Group and Sudhir Sharma, Founder/CEO of Indie Design (Pune) were present as special guests.

The program began with lighting of the lamp, followed by a speech by writer Madhu Acharya, who welcomed all the guests. During the expert opinion panel, Jagdeesh Chandra congratulated Dr Vohra on his book and stated that the book sheds light on the revolutionary economic changes that have taken place in India since independence, which were crucial for the country's economic development. He emphasized that planning and timely execution of projects were more critical than mere assurances, and the book offered systematic information on the economic problems, challenges, and opportunities that could set India's economic growth on the right track.

AJ Philip acknowledged the release of Dr Vohra's book on World Book Day and appreciated the book's portrayal of the economic life of the common man. He emphasized that the book's message of developing "Skill India" could elevate India to greater heights of economic growth.

Deepak Agarwal, MD Bikaji Group praised the book as a summary of India's journey 75 years after independence, which could enlighten readers. Sudhir Sharma, Founder/CEO Indie Design, Pune appreciated the subject matter of the book and described all the subject material contained in it as readable.

IAS Naveen Jain said that the economic subject always remains a puzzle for the common man but the language style of Dr Vohra's book is so simple that even a common man who does not have complex knowledge of economics can understand it.

At last, Dr Vohra expressed his happiness at the book's release, and made his remarks on the differences between writing for newspapers and books, noting that writing a book was a more comprehensive process. He highlighted the responsibility that all citizens have in a democracy and his fulfilment of that responsibility through his book. The book aims to explain the economic development cycle of different sections of the common man through simple language.
