Under historical economic events section, food self-sufficiency, Life Insurance Corporation of India, economic reforms of 1991, and the economic side of cricket are highlighted, but five-year plans are not discussed. Cricket has not contributed much to making the country's economic journey healthier. The history of banks is also not given place in the book, while banks are the backbone of the economy.

Important challenges facing the Indian economy have been included in the book and analysed in simple words, so that the common man can also understand economic challenges in lucid manner.

The author should also have thrown light on the tiger economy, tax structure and the obstacles in the way of revenue collection in the Economic Actions section. Along with this, the measures to increase exports and implement Make in India concept should also have been discussed. G20 is an opportunity, but more important than this, measures to strengthen the rural economy and concrete government schemes& their implementation.

Today all the countries relate to each other, therefore, it is impossible for the Indian economy to remain untouched by the global economic crisis. Therefore, the author has given a detailed description of almost all the important factors affecting the Indian economy.

The author has thrown a panoramic light on the economic life of a person living a normal life. Generally, the common man gets marginalized in the discussion of meaning. Overall, the author has been successful in including all the ups and downs in the economic journey of the last 75 years.
