Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 September 2026
This site is the personal archive and working home of Dr. P. S. Vohra — his newspaper columns, broadcast appearances, books and photographs, along with a way to invite him to speak or to book an advisory session. This page sets out what it collects when you use it, why, and what you can ask me to do about it.
It is written to be read, not to be survived. If anything here is unclear, write and ask.
Who is responsible
Dr. P. S. Vohra, Bikaner, Rajasthan, India. For anything on this page — questions, corrections, or a request to delete what is held about you — write to teamdrpsvohra@gmail.com.
What you give the site directly
Nothing on this site asks you to register or sign in. There are three forms, and each one collects only what it needs.
The newsletter
Your email address, and a note of which page you subscribed from. It is stored on this site so that new writing can be sent to you. Nothing else is asked for, and the address is not used for any other purpose.
Invitations to speak
Your name, email address, phone number, organisation, the kind of engagement, a preferred date, a city, and whatever you write in the message. This reaches Dr. Vohra as an email and is also kept on the site so that an enquiry is not lost if an email is.
Advisory bookings
Your name, email address, phone number, organisation, the area you want to discuss, the session slot you choose, and your message. If you pay an advance to hold the session, the payment reference you quote is recorded against the booking. As with invitations, it is emailed and kept on the site.
Payments are not taken on this site. Any advance is sent directly through your own UPI app or bank. No card number, UPI PIN or bank credential ever passes through this website, and none is stored here.
Spam prevention
Every form carries a hidden field that people never see and automated scripts usually fill in — a submission that fills it is discarded. Each form also briefly notes a one-way fingerprint of your network address and browser, so the same submission cannot be sent a hundred times in a row. That fingerprint cannot be turned back into your address, and it is discarded after two minutes.
How long it is kept
- Newsletter subscriptions — until you ask to be removed.
- Enquiries and bookings — kept while they are useful as a record of the conversation, and removed on request.
Ask, and it goes. There is no ceremony to it: write to the address above and say what you would like removed.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics, through the Google Site Kit plugin, to see roughly how many people visit and which writing they read. It is not used for advertising, and no advertising or remarketing features are enabled.
Google Consent Mode is switched on. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein, analytics storage is set to denied before anything loads. This site does not show a cookie banner, and there is nothing here that will ever change that setting. The practical effect is that if you are visiting from one of those countries, Google Analytics does not set cookies on your device and does not build a profile of your visit; Google receives only an anonymous, cookieless signal that a page was viewed.
Elsewhere — including India, where most readers are — Google Analytics runs in the ordinary way and does set cookies.
Turning it off yourself, wherever you are
You do not need this site’s permission to decline. Any of the following will stop analytics from working, and none of them will break the site:
- A content blocker or privacy extension — uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, Ghostery and the rest all block Google Analytics by default.
- A browser that blocks trackers as it comes — Firefox, Brave and Safari all do, in their default settings.
- Google’s own Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Blocking or clearing cookies for this site in your browser settings.
- Private or incognito browsing, which discards the cookies when you close the window.
The site is built to work without JavaScript running at all, so blocking scripts costs you nothing but the analytics.
Embedded and linked media
Clips on this site are not loaded from YouTube when a page opens. What you see first is a still image served from this site’s own media library, with a play button over it. Only when you press play is a YouTube player created, and it uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com address. Until you choose to watch, nothing about your visit reaches YouTube or Google.
Once you press play you are watching on Google’s player, and Google receives your request as it would on YouTube itself. It may set cookies, count the view, and show advertising before or during the clip. That advertising is Google’s — chosen by Google, shown by Google. This site has no hand in selecting it, no control over whether it appears, and earns nothing from it. From the moment you press play, what happens is governed by Google’s privacy policy and YouTube’s terms rather than by this page.
Some clips are held on this site instead of on YouTube. Those play from here and involve no third party at all. Photographs and newspaper clippings are likewise stored here and served from here — looking at them contacts nobody else.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own for ordinary reading. WordPress may set a functional cookie if you leave a comment or sign in to the administration area, neither of which applies to most visitors. The analytics cookies described above are the only other ones, and only where consent mode allows them.
Who else sees your information
- Google — analytics data, as described above.
- The web host, which stores the site and its database, and keeps ordinary server logs.
- The email provider that carries enquiry and booking messages.
Nothing collected here is sold, rented, or handed to anyone for their own marketing. Your information may be disclosed if the law genuinely requires it.
Your choices
You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. Write to teamdrpsvohra@gmail.com and it will be dealt with.
Depending on where you live, you may have these rights in law as well — under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, or the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation, among others. They are honoured here regardless of whether the law compels it.
Children
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent something through one of the forms, write and it will be removed.
The material in this archive
The columns, photographs and broadcast clips gathered here are a record of work published and aired elsewhere. Newspaper clippings remain the copyright of the publications that printed them, and broadcast footage the copyright of the channels that carried it. They appear here as a record of that work, with the source named wherever it is known, and no claim of ownership over them is made or implied.
Where a clip lives on YouTube it stays on the channel that published it — this site points at it rather than copying it.
If you hold rights in something reproduced here and would like it credited differently, or taken down, write to teamdrpsvohra@gmail.com and it will be dealt with promptly.
Links to other sites
Pages here link out to newspapers, YouTube, X and LinkedIn, among others. Once you follow a link you are on someone else’s site, under their privacy policy, not this one.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. There is no mailing list for amendments — the current version is always the one on this page.
